Regular HVAC maintenance is one of the most commonly overlooked responsibilities for homeowners. Much like getting regular oil changes for a car, routine upkeep ensures your heating and cooling system runs efficiently and lasts as long as possible. Neglecting maintenance can lead to more frequent breakdowns, unexpected service calls, and ultimately, expensive repairs, typically during the busiest time of the season when all A/C contractors are busy and completely booked.

An ounce of prevention, is worth a pound of cure.

Regular maintenance, that is twice a year. Once in the spring and again in the fall. Allows for a contractor to do system tune-ups designed to target the cooling portion of your system during the spring and heating portions during the fall, before the hot summer or bitter winter system performance is needed. Clogged drain lines, rusted condensate pans, parts at point of failing, air flow leaks and so many other items are addressed during those visits, keeping the home not only efficient but also safe.

Maintenance is often overlooked as it requires a small investment each year. The minimal investment is very sound investment when you consider the cost or repairs and replacement of an A/C system at today’s prices. You can only imagine how long a vehicle would run without any oil changes or with electrical failed items and the damage and cost of not catching these early is staggering. Like a vehicle, your A/C System works the same way as a mechanical machine delivering you the needed comfort.

Regular Maintenance a necessity

Having a regular maintenance and not waiting until something goes out to call a A/C contractor will not only perform better, save you on utility cost, keep costly repairs at bay. When repairs do come up, having a maintenance agreement typically comes with better or member discount pricing. In those situations, it will pay for itself.
